Water Chestnuts and Minced Pork

Water chestnuts and minced pork is one of my favorite dishes to cook. Preparing it is another story.

Ingredients
Pork Side/Belly
Corn Starch
Preserved Turnip
Water Chestnuts (Fresh)
White Pepper
Sesame oil
Oyster Sauce
Chicken Broth (Campbells)

Time: About 30 minutes

Prep:
1. Remove the bones (if applicable), skin, and excess fat. Some fat is good.
2. Mince the pork. Do not over mince the

pork (you want minced pork, not ground pork).
3. Dice the water chestnuts and turnip. About 3 water chestnuts and 1 TB of turnip is sufficient for the size of dish shown on the paper. The turnip is usually very salty, if you want to remove some of that saltiness, put the turnip in a bowl of water for 30 minutes.
4. Mince the water chestnuts and turnip into the minced pork.
5. Add a little bit of sesame oil, 1/4 tsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tb chicken

broth, 1/4 tsp white pepper, and lastly mix in 1 tb of corn starch.
6. Spread the mix thinly onto a dish.

Cook
Steam for about 10-15 minutes in medium heat.
